I did order them in a half size smaller than I usually wear because this style shoe stretches after they are worn. I always get a pair of Toms for summer and when I saw this unique style I was excited because I liked the fact they are different than what I normally have gotten in the past.
I have already gotten several compliments on them and have only worn them a couple of times. My only issue would be that you do have to be careful where you wear them because I think the fabric will get dirty easily and nothing looks worse than dirty canvas shoes.
These are not washable like many canvas shoes but they are a unique look and well worth the extra effort to keep them clean. I chose these over the classic canvas or crochet styles because I thought the fleece would help me to not get blisters. I've only worn them twice, but so far, they are very comfortable. They are true to size, but they are long and narrow just like I thought , so there's a bit of toe space vacant for me.
I think the fleece makes these a bit more user friendly for people with wider feet as it helps hold the shoe in place. They are also very snug across the top of the foot, but I assume that's just a matter of breaking them in. I like them a lot so far. These shoes are so comfortable and cute.
