What is the difference between Creer and Pensar and I've always thought that these two could be interchangeable but I've had people tell me I should change "pienso" to "creer" in some sentence. When is it appropriate to use "creer" or "pensar. Feel free to just provide example sentences. Report copyright infringement.

They believe in God. He thinks a lot. Creer would not work for that. I thought they had arrived. What are you thinking about? Creer would not work there. I hope this helps. Saludos, Ricardo. It is cultural or individual. Creo is I believe, pienso is I think. Different people would choose different verbs depending on their opinion.
And just like in english there is some overlap between the two. It really is just like the difference between believe and think.
There is a lot of overlap. You can believe things and think things creer que or pensar que But note that you can "think about" pensar en something, but not really "believe about" something. And you can "believe in" something creer en but not really "think in" something.
Both "creer" and "pensar" are often used to signal that someone is expressing an opinion.
